The 24th Global Virtual Meeting for Gifted Education - September 22nd 2012

Heads up! The Global Center for Gifted and Talented Children is holding the next "Global Virtual Meeting for Gifted Education in Second Life", September 22th 2012 at 9 p.m. CEST. Invited speaker is Dr. Grace Malonai(USA).

 Titel: "Helping Gifted Kids Cope With Anxiety and Depression: Tools For Parents and Teachers" 

Grace Malonai Ph.D.: For the past 14 years she has worked at clinics, schools and private practice, treating depressed and anxious kids, and helping parents and teachers learn tools to support their children and students. Grace has been in private practice in Martinez, California, as a Registered Psychologist (psychological assistant) since 2005, where she has helped children, teens, parents and families. She is a certified SENG Model Parent Group facilitator, and have also been adjunct faculty for the Graduate Counseling Program at St. Mary’s College of California since 2003, where she has regularly taught Human Development, Group Theory and Practice, Psychopathology, Field Placement Supervision, and served on a variety of thesis committees. In addition to a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she hold a M.S. degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, and a B.S. degree in Nutrition Science from U.C. Davis.
