Heads up! The Global Center for Gifted and Talented Children is holding the next "Global Virtual Meeting for Gifted Education in Second Life", October 27th 2012 at 9 p.m. CEST. Invited speaker is Ginger Lewman(USA).
Titel: "Creating Schools that Kindle the Inner Fires of Learning"
In schools today, it's time to consider Passion-Based and Project-Based Learning for our high-ability and gifted kids. How does PBL shift the focus of learning in the classroom from teacher-centered to student-centered and how can we foster these types of programs in our own schools? Participants in this session will be introduced to the PBL concept of “Optimal Ambiguity” as a prime state for helping students to begin to take charge of their own learning, their own creativity, and their own lives.
